DIRECTIONS: While Whitman was writing in the mid-1800s about the sorrows of the world, more current artists address the same issues. For instance, Linkin Park made a 2009 song/video called “What I’ve Done, which has many similarities to Whitman’s piece. Look to your sheet and the villains/tragedies chart. As you view the video, WATCH; you can write down later. But be thinking about what villainous figures/tragedies the video portrays.
