All Faculty | All Penn State Locations We work with faculty from any field on any type of course. Who works with the Schreyer Institute? The best faculty! We work with anyone who teaches Penn State students. Any faculty member, teaching any type of course, in any field. SCHREYER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE

12 Teaching Effectiveness
Why work with us? Teaching Efficiency Time on Teaching With SITE Without SITE Teaching Effectiveness With SITE Without SITE Student Learning Because we can help! With any issue or concern that you have about teaching and learning. But don’t believe me, listen to what your colleagues have to say. Audience members read testimonials from handouts. SCHREYER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE

13 Voluntary | Confidential
We are available at any time to work on any topic. Course & Assignment Design Teaching Strategies Testing & Grading Teaching and Learning Research Course Evaluations Voluntary: We don’t force ourselves on you (we are not the teaching police) Confidential: We don’t report out to anyone but you (not deans, directors, or heads) At any time: We are here year-round and though we are open business hours we do adjust our schedules to meet your needs Any topic: These are the most common most common consultation topics. Look for the handout with the 5 blue boxes to see what kinds of things fall under each. SCHREYER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE

Faculty Teaching Consultants Liaisons for New Faculty Dr. Larkin Hood (814) Who are our faculty consultants? Our instructional consultants are also faculty. They have PhDs in different disciplines and all have extensive teaching experience. Their varied backgrounds and teaching experiences increase the likelihood that we “speak your language” and understand your teaching context. One of the handouts provides details about their different areas of specialization, but Larkin and Mary Ann are responsible for our New Faculty Program. Coming around is a flyer for our competitive program designed just for new faculty. Dr. Mary Ann Tobin (814) SCHREYER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE

BUT, the one and only thing that I really want you to remember, out of everything that I’ve said, is to remember that all you need to do is contact us. SCHREYER INSTITUTE FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE
