National Curriculum Coverage
Our programmes are linked to the Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 of the National Curriculum. Our standard Action and Adventure programme offers the opportunity to cover aspects of: PE PSHE English Science Geography Citizenship Design & Technology Maths

All of our centres are Health and Safety compliant.
Safety is our top priority All of our centres are Health and Safety compliant. Our Safety Management System has been externally inspected and verified. First-Aid Kits are taken on all activity sessions. Centre Activity Managers hold the Emergency First Aid at Work Accreditation. Daily safety and equipment checks are carried out. Thorough Risk Assessments have been conducted. All staff are CRB checked.

When is the school journey?
The children will leave from school on Monday 26th June at 9.30am. We will return to school at approximately 2.30pm on Friday 30th June.

What do we do on the morning of the journey?
Bring your child into school at the normal time and DO NOT be late. Please put cases in the community room. When the bell goes we will all go to the hall. Hand medical information to Kate and money to Sabrina. You may wait to wave us off if you wish.

What will my child be doing on school journey?
The programme has not been finalised yet, but we know it will be a busy one. There will be a really good mixture of activities that they would not have the opportunity to do normally.

Sample Itinerary This is a sample itinerary to show how activities are scheduled. Your week will be structured to meet your requirements and choice of activities. What will the food be like?
Breakfast A choice of cereals or cooked breakfast with bacon, sausages, toast and scrambled eggs A choice of tea, coffee or juices Lunch Fish fingers, new potatoes and peas Salad bar Apple pie and ice cream Dinner Tomato soup Roast chicken, roast potatoes and mixed vegetables and salad bar Rice pudding or ice cream

Who will my child be sharing a room with?
The children will have all selected one person that they would like to share with. They will be allocated a single-sex room with that person. The rooms are a mixture of small group rooms and twin rooms. The adults have their own rooms next to the pupils.

Accommodation Accommodation comprises chalets with one or two bedrooms and accommodate up to five people, all of which are completely refurbished for Within the chalets we provide en-suite bath or shower rooms with WC, colour televisions and heating. Children’s Rooms Teacher’s Rooms

Medical Arrangements If your child needs to take any medicine, please do the following: Label any medication clearly with your child’s name. Write clear instructions on when and how the medicine is to be administered. Hand this in to Kate on the day of the school journey.

Reminder Please ensure that everything you send on school journey is labelled including any luggage. Also, please make sure your child can carry their own luggage and that it isn’t too heavy for them.

What does my child need to wear?
Socks and underwear Night clothes Trousers (No jeans for activities) Shorts T-shirts Long sleeved top for archery Jumper/Sweatshirt/fleece Waterproof jacket/Anorak Waterproof trousers/ trousers that can get muddy Disco clothes

What toiletries can my child bring?
Toothbrush and toothpaste Hairbrush or comb Shampoo/Conditioner/Hair products including bands Soap/Shower gel Flannel/Sponge Roll on deodorant if you wish (no aerosols) Sun cream Sanitary equipment

Behaviour Pupils will be expected to follow instructions from all adults. Pupils will also need to be polite to children from other schools. If pupils are unable to follow instructions from adults, they will be removed from activities. If their behaviour does not improve, parents will be asked to come and collect them.

How can I contact my child?
Your child will write you a letter, to tell you how they are. Please do not write more than one letter to your child during the week. If you need urgent contact with your child, please get in touch with the school office.

Homesickness They are bound to miss you - don’t worry
We will make sure your child has a good time IT WILL BE LOTS OF FUN!

What time will my child be back?
We are planning to arrive back at school between 2.00pm and 2.30pm on Friday 30th June. Please come and meet the coach at school if you can. You may take your child straight home. They will be very, very, very tired!
