AGREEMENT ON AMENDMENT OF AND ACCESSION TO THE CENTRAL EUROPEAN FTA (CEFTA 2006 AGREEMENT) CEFTA parties are Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, UNMIK Kosovo Signed: 19 December 2006 in Bucharest Published in Official Gazette of Montenegro – International Agreements, no 18/2007 Entered into force: 22 November 2007 Objective: Consolidate in a single agreement the existing level of trade liberalization achieved through the network of bilateral free trade agreements already concluded between the Parties. 3. 1. TERMINATION OF FTAs Ukraine Article 59, paragraph 3 “Without prejudice to Article 4, on the day of the accession of each Party of this Agreement to the European Union, this Agreement shall cease to be effective.” EFTA Article 50, paragraph 2 “ On the day of accession of Montenegro to the European Union, this Agreement shall, ipso facto, cease to be effective. ” CEFTA Article 51, paragraph 3 “The Parties agree that in the event of any eligible Party becoming a member of the European Union, that Party will withdraw from this Agreement. Withdrawal shall take place at the latest the day before membership takes effect and without any compensation to the other Parties subject to the altered conditions of trade.” M O N T E N E G R O Negotiating Team for the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union Chapter 30: External Relations

3. 2. TERMINATION OF FTAs Turkey Article 36, paragraph 3 “The Parties agree that, in case of accession of one of the Parties to this Agreement to the European Union, the Agreement will be terminated on the previous day before the date of the accession to the EU.” Russian Federation Article 21, paragraph 2 “This Agreement is concluded for an unlimited period and this Agreement shall cease to be effective after six months from the day of written notification to the other Party about intention to terminate this Agreement.” M O N T E N E G R O Negotiating Team for the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union Chapter 30: External Relations
