Example hooks: Use a quotation Robert Frost wrote, “Good fences make good neighbors”. Our school board thinks security cameras make safe schools. Make a bold statement Security cameras have never stopped a thief or a vandal. Use an imagine statement today! The “imagine” statement Imagine a place where the people look like movie- stars, everyone is busy with fun and healthy activities, and people have extra money to spend on nice things.

4 Add background to fill in the topic!
Use the prompt to briefly explain your topic: Your cousin is moving to Aberdeen. In a multiple paragraph essay to your cousin, explain three reasons why Aberdeen is a great place to live. For an expository essay, set up the subject for the reader. Aberdeen has youthfulness. You can find things to do anywhere with resourcefulness. Low cost of living in Aberdeen helps people be happier.
