LESSON 07 LET’S START TITHING?

Review Malachi 3:10 “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts,”

Review Three Tithes: The Lord’s Tithe 10% (Num. 18:21)
The Feast Tithe 10% (Deu. 14:22-27) The Poor/Welfare Tithe 10% (Deu. 14:28-29) Once every three years

LET’S START TITHING 1 Timothy 3: “These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:

LET’S START TITHING (15) But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

LET’S START TITHING 1 Corinthians 9:1-14 “Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are not ye my work in the Lord?

LET’S START TITHING (2) If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: for the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord.

LET’S START TITHING (3) Mine answer to them that do examine me is this, (4) Have we not power to eat and to drink?

LET’S START TITHING (5) Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?

(6) Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?
LET’S START TITHING (6) Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to forbear working?

LET’S START TITHING (7) Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock?

(8) Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?
LET’S START TITHING (8) Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also?

LET’S START TITHING (9) For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen?

LET’S START TITHING (10) Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope.

LET’S START TITHING (11) If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

LET’S START TITHING (12) If others be partakers of this power over you, are not we rather? Nevertheless we have not used this power; but suffer all things, lest we should hinder the gospel of Christ.

LET’S START TITHING (13) Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar?

LET’S START TITHING (14) Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel.”

LET’S START TITHING Proverbs 3:9-10 “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

LET’S START TITHING (10) So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.”

LET’S START TITHING Joshua 6:1-19 “Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in.

LET’S START TITHING (2) And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the mighty men of valour.

LET’S START TITHING (3) And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days.

LET’S START TITHING (4) And seven priests shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets.

LET’S START TITHING (5) And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall

LET’S START TITHING fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him.

LET’S START TITHING (6) And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD.

LET’S START TITHING (7) And he said unto the people, Pass on, and compass the city, and let him that is armed pass on before the ark of the LORD.

LET’S START TITHING (8) And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark

LET’S START TITHING of the covenant of the LORD followed them.

LET’S START TITHING (9) And the armed men went before the priests that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets.

LET’S START TITHING (10) And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye

LET’S START TITHING shout. (11) So the ark of the LORD compassed the city, going about it once: and they came into the camp, and lodged in the camp.

LET’S START TITHING (12) And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the LORD.

LET’S START TITHING (13) And seven priests bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came

LET’S START TITHING after the ark of the LORD, the priests going on, and blowing with the trumpets. (14) And the second day they compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days.

LET’S START TITHING (15) And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven

LET’S START TITHING times. (16) And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the priests blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city.

LET’S START TITHING (17) And the city shall be accursed, even it, and all that are therein, to the LORD: only Rahab the harlot shall live, she and all that are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.

LET’S START TITHING (18) And ye, in any wise keep yourselves from the accursed thing, lest ye make yourselves accursed, when ye take of the accursed thing, and make the camp of Israel a curse, and trouble it.

LET’S START TITHING (19) But all the silver, and gold, and vessels of brass and iron, are consecrated unto the LORD: they shall come into the treasury of the LORD.”

LET’S START TITHING Joshua 7:1 “But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the accursed thing: for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the

LET’S START TITHING tribe of Judah, took of the accursed thing: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against the children of Israel.”

LET’S START TITHING Joshua 7:4-5 “So there went up thither of the people about three thousand men: and they fled before the men of Ai.

LET’S START TITHING (5) And the men of Ai smote of them about thirty and six men: for they chased them from before the gate even unto Shebarim, and smote them in

LET’S START TITHING the going down: wherefore the hearts of the people melted, and became as water.”

LET’S START TITHING Joshua 7:8-13 “O Lord, what shall I say, when Israel turneth their backs before their enemies!

LET’S START TITHING (9) For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: and what wilt thou do unto thy great name?

LET’S START TITHING (10) And the LORD said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face?

LET’S START TITHING (11) Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have

LET’S START TITHING also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.

LET’S START TITHING (12) Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed:

LET’S START TITHING neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.

LET’S START TITHING (13) Up, sanctify the people, and say, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the LORD God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of

LET’S START TITHING thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.”

LET’S START TITHING Deuteronomy 11: “Then will the LORD drive out all these nations from before you, and ye shall possess greater nations and mightier than yourselves.

LET’S START TITHING (24) Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

LET’S START TITHING (25) There shall no man be able to stand before you: for the LORD your God shall lay the fear of you and the dread of you upon all the land that ye shall tread upon, as he hath said unto you.

(26) Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;
LET’S START TITHING (26) Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

LET’S START TITHING (27) A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD your God, which I command you this day:

LET’S START TITHING (28) And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known.”

LET’S START TITHING Leviticus 27: “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land, or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S: it is holy unto the LORD.

LET’S START TITHING (31) And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.

LET’S START TITHING (32) And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.

LET’S START TITHING (33) He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.”
