2 Adjectives MODIFY nouns and pronouns; in other words, they describe them.
An adjective tells what kind, which one, how many, or whose about the word it modifies. There are 8 types of adjectives to know: Descriptive adjectives - types of adjective that is used to describe size, color, or shape of a person place or thing Circle the adjective in the sentence on the right: This sure is an informative lesson. Numerical adjectives refer to a number or amount. Make up a sentence that uses this type of adjective and write it on your paper:

g) Predicate adjectives are those that follow a linking verb to describe the subject. h) Write an example of a sentence that has a predicate adjective. i) Proper adjectives are like proper nouns; they start with a capital letter. These describe a specific type of noun.
