Within the current call for bilateral projects a number of projects have also been submitted.

Direct Cooperation with Business and Society

FUND for the promotion of cooperation in EU projects
In 2014 UL established the UL Fund for the promotion of cooperation in EU projects (form 2017 on called UL Development fund) from which we finance: Incentives for young researchers Incentives for multidisciplinary and coordinating projects Education and trainings of researchers (special focus on ERC and Marie Curie) Memberships in different networks

UL cooperation in HORIZON 2020
With the amount of more than 13 mio € of EU contribution University of Ljubljana (which contributes almost half of the research results in Slovenia) is among the leading organisations in Slovenia. 56 approved H2020 projects

Mobility of Researchers – HR Excellence in Research
From 2008, the University of Ljubljana is committed to respect the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for Recruitment of Researchers in its strategy for the development of researchers’ careers. The commitment is worded in the UL Strategy for Researchers’ Career Development for the Period and the Action plan. As a result of its efforts UL received the right to use the logo HR EXCELLENCE IN RESEARCH in 2013 and successfully carried out internal evaluation in External evaluation is expected in 2017.

Reccomendations for SPREADING EXCELLENCE and WIDENING instrument
More money for TEAMING, TWINNING and ERA CHAIRS; Support of Excellence: Funding of excellent ERC proposals from Widening countries that go to the second step of review but are finaly not funded through ERC budget; Additional budget for MSCA IFs for the host organisations from widening countries; Support for development of Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) strategies and practices in organisations from Widening countries together with the most excellent European institues and HE organisations;
