At 13 he left school and became an apprentice under his father
He went on to become a successful businessman (he opened a hardware store)

5. Importance to the Revolution
He led the Midnight Ride
-It occurred on April 19,1775 he and William Daws rode from Boston to Lexington to worn John Hancock and Sam Adams of the movements of the British Invasions.
He was also a Blacksmith and an ardent colonist
He also took part in the Boston Tea Party. In that the colonist dressed up as Mohawk Indians and poured hundreds on chests of tea into the Boston Harbor.
