3. Role of the HS Counselor
The counselor is the one person who sees the entire picture of a student’s 4-year high school career and who can bring all that information together.
Address social / emotional needs
Assist with college & post-high school planning
Assist students in planning appropriate course schedules and determine how to best achieve educational goals

4. Earning Credits 24.0 credits possible One school year = 2 semesters
Each semester = Students take 6 classes
Each class = 0.5 credit
6 classes x 0.5 credit = 3.0 credits per semester
