Egyptians settled along the Nile River valley in northeast Africa.
World’s longest river- 4,145 miles long.
Runs south to north from central Africa  Mediterranean Sea.
Last 600 miles is Egypt.

7. River is only green area in the Sahara desert.
Delta- fan shaped fertile land where it branches out before it reaches the sea.

8. Egypt’s two problems:
96% of Egypt is barren deserts- only crops grown around Nile.
