7 European Nuclear Science and Applications Research
ENSAR project : European Nuclear Science and Applications Research ENSAR is funded by the European Commission within its Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) under the specific programme 'Capacities'. Started for 4 years ENSAR (project number: ) is the integrating activity for European nuclear scientists who are performing research in three of these major subfields: Nuclear Structure, Nuclear Astrophysics and Applications of Nuclear Science. Its core aim is to provide access to seven of the complementary world-class large-scale facilities: GANIL (F), GSI (D), joint LNL-LNS (I), JYFL (FI), KVI (NL), CERN-ISOLDE (CH) and ALTO (F). These facilities provide stable and radioactive ion beams of excellent qualities ranging in energies from tens of keV/u to a few GeV/u. JRA 01 ……….. JRA PREMAS: Low Energy beam preparation, manipulation and spectroscopy ………… JRA 07

9 Running from 2014 to 2020 with an €80 billion budget, the EU’s new programme for research and innovation is part of the drive to create new growth and jobs in Europe. The first project call in Horizon 2020 for submission of “Integrating Activity” proposals may be issued next year (around July 2013) with a possible deadline for submission by the end of 2013.
