Who are we? Farmers Owned Co-operative since 1963 1200 Shareholders
Cross Community Business Chairman and Board of Directors are all shareholders and give of their services free of charge. Over a long number of years,N.C.C.E.Ltd have been very entrepreneurial. Currently have a Livestock Mart,Farmware Store,Indoor Auction Centre,Training and Information Centre and Farm within N.C.C.E.Ltd Ulster Ceramics Ltd is also on site,a fully owned N.C.C.E. Ltd Company.

Organisation Governance
Chairman and 9 Directors Meet 8 times a year including A.G.M. Plan Strategy and represent the views of the 1200 members.

2015 Highlights Commenced process to fully engage with both farming community and broader community. Numbers through Sheep Market increased by 7.5% Numbers through Cattle Market increased by 10% £100k capital investment to upgrade facilities. Launched Training & Information Centre Increased Range within Farmware Store Increased our profile both locally and further afield. Continuing to develop Ulster Ceramics

Current Structure Chairman and Board of Directors are all shareholders and give of their services free of charge. General Manager – Paul Coyle Development Assistant – Noreen Rafferty 10 other employees across all the other departments. An additional 20 other local staff work at the livestock marts and Auctions Creation of Employment,helping the local economy and a further extension of services are a key objective of the organisation.

Farmware Store/Livestock Mart
Both provide very important services to the local community. 700 (Members & Non Members) will avail of these services on a monthly basis. Our store provides a one-stop shop model for the local farming community. Upgraded Livestock Mart facilities in 2015 Further development of the Famware store in 2016/2017.

Training & Information Centre
In early 2015,we surveyed 300 “Active Farmers” that trade in our Farmware Store – 100+ replies returned. Two Key Areas that we wanted to analyse – “Agriculture & Construction” In April 2015,we set up with a focus on Agriculture. In May 2015 we ran our first Training Course – Pesticides In Nov 2015 – appointed Noreen

Indoor Auction Centre Within the Indoor Auction Centre, two sales per month are run,a machinery sale and a general household auction ,a recent new initiative,both need further development. Farm Machinery – Every 3rd Friday morning monthly General Household – Last Thursday evening monthly.

Ulster Ceramics Three employees,60% of Revenue generated in R.O.I.
Ulster Ceramics Pottery Supplies Division is the most reliable and competitively priced supplier of pottery equipment and materials in Ireland. We stock a substantial range of carefully selected clays that will allow the customer whether you’re a hobbyist, craft potter or teacher a superb choice guaranteed to meet your every need. In an ever-changing market we are constantly adding to our range. Development plan being finalised for future growth.

Immediate Plans Awaiting planning permission approval on a new community focused multi functional hall – currently in discussion with R.D.P. After our most recent member survey,we are finalising plans for a Farmware Store upgrade. Maximise current resouces. Further development of Ulster Ceramics.

Summary The most fundamental objective of any business is – “To win and retain customers in a sustainable manner” N.C.C.E.Ltd have clearly demonstrated this and we fully intend to continually deliver on this objective.
