5 Observations are statements of fact that can be made about an object or situation.
There are two basic types of observations: Quantitative Qualitative

6 Quantitative observations are those that can be measured.
They can be expressed as an amount or number. These can be proven. So ask yourself “Can I prove this?”

7 Qualitative observations are those that can not specifically be measured using an instrument and are made just by using the senses. These are our perceptions.

Strawberry is the best type of shake. Mrs. Jones is 5 feet 2 inches tall. Mrs. Jones has red hair. Mrs. Kirkland loves to read books. There are 103 students on our team.
