Development Aid grants are often targeted on capacity building for the international participants Monitoring and evaluation of projects need evidence of capacity building Refereed publications on project outcomes can provide both Opportunity for disseminating project results, and Evidence of built capacity for participants University of Adelaide

4 Research-based publication skills training
However, full involvement of international participants in article writing/submission may be difficult to achieve resulting in sub-optimal capacity development We provide research-based, practical training to novice authors – on all aspects of article writing and revision senior investigators and project managers – on cross-cultural mentoring strategies University of Adelaide

5 Development Aid experience

6 RDI approach Grounded in transcultural theory (see the Song & Cadman, Bridging transcultural divides publication project, 2012) Based on research findings in Research Education, Applied Linguistics and English for Specific/Academic Purposes Builds on expertise developed in the design, development and leadership of the University’s Integrated Bridging Program (IBP) Utilises techniques presented in Writing scientific research articles: Strategy and steps (Cargill & O’Connor 2009, 2013) University of Adelaide
