4 E-book Capabilities An electronic book is typically delivered over a computer network.  E-book capabilities vary by vendor, but most offer hyperlink navigation and keyword searching within the text. 5 Enter your HINARI USER NAME and PASSWORD in the appropriate boxes, change the language of the portal (if necessary), then click on the Login button. Note: To have access to the full text articles, you must properly sign in. 04 July 2017

6 Click on the Hinari logo to open the program.
All the programs your institution is registered for are listed. Login to any of the other programs by returning to this page (use the R4L Portal – Applications tab at the top of the web browser). To open another program, click on the specific logo. Your Hinari username and password will grant access to the other programs (and ditto for your institution’s AGORA, ARDI or OARE logins). 04 July 2017

7 To find books by title, click on the appropriate Books collection alphabetical letter.
Note that there is a View complete list of books option although this drop down menu does not have hypertext links to the specific titles. You will need to go back to the Books collection A-Z list to open any e-books. 04 July 2017

8 We have opened the U list from the Books collection list.
Note that the list includes non health- related titles. You will need time to locate the titles that will be of use to you. 04 July 2017

We will look at some of the Taylor & Francis e-books. The first way to access these titles is via the Books collection A-Z list. We have opened the Books collection B Accessible Content list and identified two titles. 04 July 2017

Displayed is the list of Accessible Content journals and e-books from this publish and, on this page, there are 12 book titles noted. We will open Behavior, Health and Aging. When a publisher grants access to your institution, this is a useful way of identifying what e-books are available. 04 July 2017

This example is for an institution where all titles are included in the publishers’ offer. Note the two titles from Oxford University Press. 04 July 2017

27 When opening the All Items option of the Complete List of HINARI Books, there is the Send to CSV option. You can receive a list of all the books in the format used by spreadsheets. 04 July 2017
