1 Getting on board with ridesharing
Good afternoon. My name is Eryn Nordstrom and I’m an Account Executive on the Lyft Mobility Solutions team. I’m your local Lyft contact and work with many companies to help them learn more about ridesharing. Today, I‘d like to give you an introduction on Lyft and how ground transportation has undergone some dramatic changes these past few years. Eryn Nordstrom

2 Business travel doesn’t need to be painful
To give you a understanding of ground travel today, let’s look at it from the perspective of the business traveler. Currently, getting around on business trips is not an enjoyable process. According to Carlson Wagonlit’s travel stress index, business travelers experience, on average, 6.9 hours of stress per trip. Travel can be stressful. This illustration shows a sample trip, but the travel experience rarely looks the same for every trip. In some cases, such as a flight delay, a little bit of chaos is unavoidable. But when you add up all the things that could be avoided, such as figuring out how to get from the parking lot to the terminal, or hailing a cab in an unfamiliar city, or standing outside in the cold waiting for a cab, or filling up the gas tank on the rental car, business travelers face a lot of unnecessary stress. Total time: 3 hours 20 minutes Total cost: $208.94

3 Time is the most precious commodity
This can be extremely taxing on employees. Road warriors value their productivity above all else. With the extra time, they can be more focused, less stressed, and receive greater fulfillment from their work. We’ve seen airlines introduce digital boarding passes to expedite the check in process. We’ve seen hotels introduce digital apps to reserve rooms and check out. But taxis and black cars haven’t kept up. As a result, we’re seeing employees overwhelmingly adopt ridesharing services as their preferred method of ground transportation.

4 Ridesharing makes up over half of all business ground transportation expenses
Today, ridesharing makes up over half of all business ground transportation. This isn’t just because of time savings. Ridesharing services like Lyft, consistently deliver a higher customer experience, faster service, and greater cost savings. With over half of all ground transportation expenses coming from ridesharing services, it’s important for companies to learn more about ridesharing and create the right guidance to educate their employees. 5 21% of a corporate travel budget is spent on fragmented ground transit. Historically, ground transportation was left untouched. That’s because it was hard to manage a ground transportation supplier. There are thousands of taxi and limousine services across the US and few national vendors. And given the lack of integration between taxi expenses and Expense Management Systems (EMS), taxi spend was commonly seen as a black hole. Certify estimates that ground transportation ends up costing more money than hotels and airfare. Chances are, you have a relationship with a preferred airline. And you have a relationship with a preferred rental car. With many employees adopting ridesharing today, it’s time to start forming relationships with a preferred ground transportation provider. 6 When choosing a ridesharing supplier, look for those that can support you as you launch. For many, this is a new process so the expertise from a dedicated resource can help. At Lyft, we’ve worked hard to develop an enterprise-grade solution for companies such as Starbucks, Apple, HP, and hundreds more. We offer dedicated resources to help you launch and manage a successful program. From having a dedicated customer success resource to building the latest technology to manage your ground transportation program, we’re building a program to support the fastest growing successful TNC policy.

7 Increase Employee Satisfaction
Cost Savings Increase Employee Satisfaction Real time Expense Management Safety & Security We’ve seen four major benefits for companies who have switched over to Lyft. First, cost savings. Lyft is more often cheaper than Yellow Cabs, Limos, and other ridesharing services. Second, we’ve been consistently ranked by Certify as the best in customer experience. This is because Lyft makes expensing simple by providing digital receipts and integrating directly with EMSs like Concur. Using the data we have on employees, we also provide this information to Travel Managers to monitor and manage expenses. Travel Managers can get a real time view of expensed Lyft rides through an all encompassing dashboard. And lastly, we work hard to provide employees with some of the highest security standards available.

8 To reconnect people and communities through better transportation
Our Vision To reconnect people and communities through better transportation Our Mission Uniting humanity and technology to make everyday rides welcoming, affordable, and memorable Our commitment to providing the best experience is part of our DNA at Lyft. By providing welcoming, affordable rides to everyone, we’re reducing traffic and parking congestion, pollution, and the cost of driving, and we’re creating economic opportunity for our growing driver community.

9 A driver at your doorstep in three minutes
If you’ve already used Lyft, then you’re familiar with the application, and if you haven’t, these are some screenshots that show the digital Lyft experience. In either case, I want to highlight a couple of features. First, you’ll notice that right when you open the app you’re given the option to select which type of ride you’d like to take. We offer a carpooling option, a private car option, and a private SUV option, which is great for traveling to the airport when you’re flying with a few other people. When using Lyft, corporate travelers also have the option to choose whether they’re taking a business or a personal ride to keep their expenses separate. And best of all, when you call a Lyft, your driver will most likely arrive within three minutes of requesting a ride. Request Ride Pay

10 Rides in 225 cities and counting
Lyft builds a relationship with each community: Conducts research Protects ridesharing policies Connects with transportation and environmental leaders at the federal, state, and local level To make welcoming, affordable rides available to more passengers throughout the U.S., we work directly with the communities we hope to serve as we expand into new markets. Every state has unique transportation needs and policies. As we expand into new communities, we work directly with transportation policymakers to ensure that Lyft operates legally, and that any ridesharing legislation fits its community. Today we’re in over 225 markets in the US.

11 On average, Lyft is 35% cheaper than Taxis
Denver Airport Downtown Golden Lyft: $33 Taxi: $73 Independent of any corporate discounts, Lyft is typically the cheapest ground transportation provider. On average, we are 35% cheaper than taxis. Take a standard trip from the Denver International Airport to Downtown. A Lyft will cost your $33 vs a taxi which is over double the price at $74. Or take a trip from the Airport to Golden. A Lyft will run you $44 while a taxi is, again, over double the price at $99. By switching your ground spend to Lyft imagine the immediate cost savings you will realize. 12 Business Profiles We make it simple for business travelers to use Lyft. One feature, Business Profiles, let’s travelers keep a separate profile for business trips. After every business ride the receipt is sent to their corporate address and their default corporate card is charged. And for Concur Expense users, these receipts are forwarded directly to Concur making expensing a breeze.

13 On the other side, Admins can benefit greatly from Lyft
On the other side, Admins can benefit greatly from Lyft. All business rides are updated into an admin dashboard so admins can quickly manage and control expenses made with Lyft. This can help admins catch fraud and get rich data around their ground transportation program.

14 Admins can also administer granular permissions to each user from allowing for direct billing, receiving Lyft credits, or use features such as Concierge.

15 Members Teams Rides Concierge Events Settings Concierge For companies, ground transportation expands to more than going to the airport or to meet clients. It can include recruiting events, exec offsites, and more. What you’re looking at is our newest feature, Concierge. With Concierge, you can order rides on behalf of others. Rides can be scheduled ahead of time and billed to a central card. No smartphone required, everything can be done through the web. With Concierge, passengers get the same level of care and service.

16 Drivers & Vehicles In Case of Emergency Legal & Regulatory
Criminal background checks Annual driving record checks Vehicle inspection Zero tolerance drug & alcohol policy In Case of Emergency 24-hour critical response line Ride history logs $1M auto liability insurance policy Legal & Regulatory We work with policymakers across the country to develop safety-focused ridesharing policies and regulations Digital Protection Two-way ratings system Driver photos, license plate numbers, and car identifiers GPS ride tracking Route sharing Lost & found reports Providing the highest level of safety and well-being is core to our brand. We vet every driver under the perspective that we would trust them driving our parents. Before a driver can use the Lyft platform, we conduct an extensive 3rd party background check, review their driving records, and conduct a 19-point vehicle inspection. Lyft is also credited for introducing the first of its kind $1m insurance policy to protect passengers. In many localities this is 2-3x the protection a standard taxi will provide. Lastly, we also use our app to consistently receive feedback. Through two-way rating systems we actively monitor reviews to make sure we maintain a great standard of drivers and passengers. Any time a passenger rates a driver 3 stars of below, the two are never matched up. Lyft also gives full transparency to passengers. Before you step into a vehicle you can see your driver’s photo, the license plate number, and the make & model of the car.

17 Increase Employee Satisfaction
Cost Savings Increase Employee Satisfaction Real time Expense Management Safety & Security As ridesharing is quickly becoming a preferred method of transportation for your employees it’s important to create some guidance for your employees. As you do this, look into the realized cost savings, the impact each supplier has on employee satisfaction, safety and security, and expense management tracking. At Lyft, we pride ourselves in our ability to partner with our customers and build world-class programs. I’m looking forward to being a resource for all of you as you look to learn more about ridesharing.
