Two methods: Get a common denominator and add or subtract numerators. Example: Use a calculator. Example:

IMPORTANT!!! Things to remember when using a calculator:
Fractions should ALWAYS be in parenthesis Mixed numbers are put in as an addition problem To get a fraction for an answer press: MATH >FRAC
