4 What was the Industrial Revolution? A recap!
Work was more regimented and carried out by common laborers and children as well as skilled workmen. There were many new inventions such as the steam engine and ‘waterframe’. What was the Industrial Revolution? A recap! It started roughly in 1760 and finished in early 20thC Living and working conditions were very poor, due to the laissez faire approach to the poor The Industrial Revolution was a time of great economic and social change which was as a result of the steam powered machinery and mass production of goods. Work was carried out in factories, mines and workhouses instead of on farms.
