members of NDPHS to our nation’s Capital November 19-21, 2008: Nov. 19 : PAC meeting Nov. 20 and 21: a one and a half day meeting on the health of Indigenous and remote northern communities

Canada’s Proposal Meeting on the health of Indigenous and remote northern communities A one and a half day meeting to further explore and develop priorities for a NDPHS shared international agenda on the health of Indigenous and remote northern communities An Indigenous cultural component (i.e. ceremonial event, entertainment, Indigenous speaker) And also: Opportunities for side meetings with Canadian organizations, Indigenous organizations and government officials.

Canada’s Proposal Meeting on the health of Indigenous and remote northern communities (One and a half day meeting, Nov. 20/21) Unique opportunity to bring together experts from Partner countries as well as experts from other countries who are responsible for the health of Indigenous and northern remote communities. Lead: First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Health Canada Interpretation services available in English, French, Russian and Inuktitut. Agenda: To be developed in consultation with a core of interested NDPHS members and then shared with all in advance of the PAC.

Logistics Visa requirements for some Members countries Accommodation Four Points Sheraton Hotel facing the Museum of Civilization, Gatineau, Qc. ( Cost of approximately 82€/night taxes included per room A block of rooms has been reserved from November 18th – 22nd under the name Health Canada – PAC If people would like to stay over the weekend, the hotel booking can be prolonged.
