One of the crucial aspects of this policy is protection of avifauna biodiversity. In order to protect bird species especially species endangered with extinction an acoustical bird monitoring system has been proposed.

3 Multi-channel Digital Audio Recorder

Recorded voices are afterwards automatically recognized by the recognizer in order to label bird species.

Signals saved in uncompressed WAV format onto SD/SDHC memory card up to 32 GB 1, 2, and 4-channel recording modes Bit resolution 16 bit/sample per channel, maximal sampling frequency 96 kHz. Two D/A converters and headphones amplifiers in order to monitor recorded sounds.

Features: Playback of signals stored on the SD/SDHC card. 32-bit microcontroller/DSP with ARM7 core. big LCD display and user-friendly menu for quick access to the given sound signal built-in amplifier, and external loudspeaker Played signal has 16-bit resolution and 96 kHz sampling rate.

It helps further to recognize the bird species in order to save the information in data base.

In the system it is possible to connect cabled models to personal computer by RS232 interface, or USB interface.

12 Conclusion Modern scientific biology in different terrains requires different electronic devices Connecting electronic devices into the data-base system can further improve quality and effectivity of the research to be carried out. The electronic equipment of the acoustical avian monitoring system has been presented. At the present stage of work high quality digital audio recorder and partially bird attracting device have been built External stationary camcorder for bird monitoring purposes has been installed Properly designed microphone array still remains the problem to be solved.
