What is Business Partner Express?
Business Partner Express is a new user interface that provides a fast and easy way to enter opportunities into Global Partner Portal.
With Business Partner Express, you can create or change multiple opportunities at the same time, making data entry much faster than through the Global Partner Portal web interface.
You can even receive hundreds of new opportunities at one time, and you can send hundreds of new opportunities and updates to opportunities with just a few mouse clicks!
Business Partner Express is easy to use, responsive, and flexible.

4. Business Partner Express functions
With Business Partner Express, you can do all of the following:
Create and update opportunities
Add revenue records
Add marketing campaigns
Submit opportunities for incentive programs
Accept, reject, and pass opportunities
Submit opportunities for Software Value Incentive (SVI)
Submit opportunities for Latin America validation
Collaborate with other Business Partners
And…much, much more!

How does Business Partner Express work?
Business Partner Express creates and uses a database on your local system to store opportunity data.
This database is located in the Business Partner Express folder that is created when you install Business Partner Express.
This local database is initially loaded with all your opportunities that are in Global Partner Portal.
As opportunities are added or changed, the local database is updated to reflect these changes, thus keeping the local database in sync with Global Partner Portal.

Registering for Business Partner Express
You register for Business Partner Express by completing the registration form.
You must have Microsoft Office 2007 or higher to install and use Business Partner Express
Once you receive a confirmation , you perform the following basic steps to install and configure Business Partner Express:
Download the setup file
Install Business Partner Express
Adjust your settings
….and you’re ready to send and receive opportunities!

Perform the following steps to download the setup file:
Click the link that was provided to you when you registered.
When prompted, type your PartnerWorld User ID and Password and click Sign in.

Perform the following steps to install Business Partner Express. You might be required to install some programs as you proceed with the installation. Please install the required programs as follows.
Save the setup file to your hard drive.
Double-click the Setup.exe file.

The setup will check to make sure your computer has all the necessary components to run Business Partner Express. If you do not, it will tell you which components it will download from Microsoft. Click Install.

Click the checkbox to accept the Microsoft license agreement.
Click Install.

The component programs install one at a time.

Each component notifies you when the installation is complete. Click Finish.

Installing Business Partner Express
Once the MicroSoft components are installed, the Business Partner Express installation begins. Click Next.

22. Installing Business Partner Express
Click the checkbox to accept the License Agreement.
Click Next.
Enter your name in the User Name field and your company name in the Organization field.
Click Next.

The default installation location is as shown. Accept the default or click Change… to select another location. Note: Make a note of this location because you may need it later to locate the installation files.
Click Next.

Click Install.
The installation may take several minutes. Respond to any security prompts. When you see a message that the wizard has completed, click Finish.
Business Partner Express and associated files are now installed!

Double-click the Business Partner Express icon on your desktop.
At the top of the page, click the Business Partner Express tab.
Click the Settings icon.

On the General tab, complete the following fields:
Time Difference GMT
Language
Country. Note: In order to submit opportunities for Latin America (LA) validation, LA users must indicate they are located in a Latin American country.
User Name (IBM PartnerWorld User ID)
Password (IBM PartnerWorld password)
Business Partner Name
Gateway ID
CEID (Click Add and type the CEID)
Click OK.
