3 How do Afghans Celebrate the New Year
The first day of the new year is called Nowroz which is celebrated for two weeks in Afghanistan most often people wear new cloths, paint their houses. Young girls are going to shrines with their mother and young boys are waiting for their father where he decide to take them for having party usually the men are going out of the city to have party about 80% of them are going to Mazar-e- Sharife city where every year they put a flag.

5 Famous traditions The most famous tradition is to forget and forgive each other mistake. They go to their relatives homes . The symbolic traditions of Newroz or new year is Haft Mewa or seven fruits. Haft mewa is like a fruit salad

8 Traditional food Afghan women make Samanak in new year which is made of wheat germ. They cook it from late in evening until daylight and no man are allowed to take part in this ceremony.

11 Traditional Games Buzkashi ( Goat Dragging) is the central Asian sport in which horse mounted players attempt to place a goat carcass in goal. And it is a national sport of Afghanistan which is being played by the people of Afghanistan.

13 Although most of Afghan people don’t celebrate the new year or Newruz they don’t even tells happy new year to each other.
