This diagram shows the interconnectivity of KCCMS, EDCS (and LPR), KiDS, and Pathways. A presentation was given in January of 2012 over the interconnectivity of these systems. More information can be found at: under the KCCMS/EDCS/KiDS-SCRS/Pathways Presentation Module.

Registration New Users
7
Access this page by following this link: https://online. ksde
First time users should register here. Please note that existing Pathways users may not need to register again. If a different access level is needed, click on “Manage my account” after you have logged in.
8
This step is for new users
Complete the information on the registration sheet. Choosing a building (the high school) from the building drop down box allows the user to apply for the school-type access “School Approve” that is connected to only that one building. By choosing “All Buildings” the user will be able to choose the “District/Org Update” role. Complete the information on the registration sheet. **Please note that existing Pathways users may not need to register again. If the user wants the ability to enter/submit CPPSAs and to enter/submit student data the District/Org Update access level is best. Or, the user can register for the School Approve access level; this can switch back and forth between school approve for Pathways/student data and school org/update to enter/submit CPPSAs.**
9
*This step is for new users only*
Once registered: Follow up with superintendent to ensure he/she has received the and is aware of pending user approval. Call the IT helpdesk at (785) if issues are encountered School Update School Approve

17
Assign Students 1. Under the “In this Pathway?” column, select any students that are to be assigned to this pathway and have at least .5 credit in this pathway. Students can only be assigned to one pathway, and if they are previously assigned to another pathway, you will take them out of that pathway by clicking in the “In this pathway?” column. The page will automatically save. 2. If a student (s) is missing, click on the “Show All Students” link at the top of the page. ***Important point of clarification-the STCO submission in KiDS is due June 15th in order to populate pathway students. This includes course roster completion data. If students are not available, your district has not submitted this report yet. You will need to wait until they have done this before completing this screen.*** ***Please Note: If a student is assigned to a different pathway, and you click the “In This Pathway” column for that student, you will remove them from the pathway, and erase all of the data that has been saved on that student.***

Assign Students Screen
The Assign Students screen has several columns. These columns are: -In this Pathway?: If the student has been assigned to the pathway that has been opened for student data entry, a check mark will be in this column. If a student needs to be assigned to this pathway, place a check in this box. -Suggested Pathway per KiDS STCO Record(s): Shows the pathway that the majority of the student’s courses have been taken under with an emphasis on Non-Traditional pathways. -Student Name: Name of the student as entered into the STCO records. If a student is missing, and is unavailable after clicking on “Show Filtered Students”, then check with your KIDS data entry person to see if they have a STCO record for the course. Using the Downloadable Basic Enrollment report for the previous year will possibly show students who may have not taken a Pathways course in the current year. (These students may not automatically populate the Assign Students Screen.) Also, the Student Career Course Completion report can be used to select a pathway if needed. -KIDS ID: Students ID in the KIDS system. -Grade: Grade of student as entered in the KIDS system -Gender: Gender of student as entered in the KIDS system -Prior Year CIP Code: CIP Code for the pathway assigned to the student in the previous year -Pipeline CIP Code: Pathway CIP Code student selected themselves in the Kansas Career Pipeline ***Please Note: If a student is assigned to a different pathway, and you click the “In This Pathway” column for that student, you will remove them from the pathway, and erase all of the data that has been saved on that student.***
