10 7. June 5, 2007 Asked about CBRN Data Model:
David Heaton - Multilateral Interoperability Programme (MIP): Background: In the Sensor Standards Harmonization WG, we converted the CBRN Data Model spreadsheet to an ontology in one of our SICoP Semantic Wikis (Knoodl.com) for a demonstration to the SSHWG members that asked to see how we could work with it in a "Semantic Web way" because it was made available at the August 2006 Workshop in Oak Ridge and it represented a great example of a spreadsheet-to-ontology conversion. We have removed this because our intent all along was to harmonized the multiple standards and data models in support of the SSHWG so our result will not be the release of “the CBRN data model spreadsheet" but a new semantically harmonized and machine processible ontology.

11 8. June 28, 2007 Proposed Pilot and Use Case: Open CYC – See Read File
The NCOIC SI WG help SICoP with building a modular ontology for net-ready sensors since Major General Reeves has announced that net-ready sensors will probably be incorporated in the netcentric enviornment by FY 2010 if not sooner. 24 9. July 5, 2007 John Yanosy, July 3, 2007: Reg Ford and I have created an SI ontology based on the SCOPE SI dimensions, which is different than the SCOPE ontology. They have two different purposes. The SI ontology is to be able to relate SI concepts to each other and related standards and other artifacts. It provides a conceptual framework to discuss these relationships. The SCOPE ontology is for evaluating a system, organization, etc. to characterize various net centric aspects according to multiple dimensions. Reg could you send the latest SI ontology to me for further discussion? The SCOPE document has been updated according to review comments and will undergo a formal review and vote in the NCOIC in the next weeks. We did have significant use case demonstrations with multiple NCOIC workgroups at different NCOIC Plenaries with Mills Davis and Connor Shankey support. It would be useful to understand any improvements, but we should not spend time in this meeting on SCOPE in general, except for the SI dimensions, which have much conceptual detail and bear on our task. It might be useful to be able to capture our metadata for organizations and topics so that we can populate Wiki topics content appropriately.

26 11. July 19, 2007 First Semantic Interoperability Mashup with NCOIC Semantic Interoperability WG, Spatial Ontology CoP, and SICoP, Features Snoogle Demonstration by BBN. Snoogle is a graphical, SWRL-based ontology mapper to assist in the task of OWL ontology alignment. It allows users to visualize ontologies and then draw mappings from one to another on a graphical canvas. Users draw mappings as they see them in their head, and then Snoggle turns these mappings into SWRL/RDF or SWRL/XML for use in a knowledge base. Also see Semantic Web Tools:

SICoP Special Briefing (see slide 29): NCOIC September Plenary meetings (17-21 in Crystal City, VA): NCOIC has moved from development of interoperability tools to the application of our processes and guidance by stakeholders.  Come hear from customers who are benefiting from NCOIC analysis tools as they tell about mission support from NCOIC, and their recommendations for further utilization of NCOIC deliverables.  Among those speaking are leaders from FAA’s NextGen program, the global netcentric logistics community, and NATO. You won’t want to miss the discussion of NCOIC’s emerging role in cyber security.

The NCOIC Problem (John Yanosy): Semantically harmonize the context across the multiple documents of multiple NCOIC WGs that we have been hoping the Semantic Wikis would address and that I tried to address in my recent SCOPE document pilot. Moresophy addresses this problem: See
