2. Step 1: Gathering Rescores
I have chosen to recreate the Scarface poster showing on the left. I have chosen this retro film poster because of its elements relating to the film itself. The poster shows Scarface himself in action, this makes the poster stand out because it shows Scarface in action. If people came across this poster without seeing the film they will think it is action packed and is thrilling.

3. Step 2: Starting My Poster
This is the start of my retro movie poster. I have started with a layer that is my main background, I used a crème colour as my main background with the fill tool.

4. Step 3: Adding The Main Components
I started by creating a layer with an image of Scarface that was taken from the web. I then used the quick selection tool to draw around Scarface to cut only him and his gun out. After removing Scarface's background I then added him to the main background.

5. Step 4: Main Components
So far I have added the second background and the photo that I cut out using the selection tool. Adding the layers has started the poster

6. Step 5: Detail
This part was about adding detail. For example, I outlined the photo of Scarface to make him more outstanding. I added a black banner at an angle to be a background for the films title (Scarface).

7. Step 6: Finish
To finish my poster I added text with different font. I used “Wide Latin” for the films title font as it stands out and had a old style effect to it what fitted with the time this was set in. I added a quote in from the film to make it look intense and sound intense. I added Alpachinos name so people recognise him so people will think it will be a good film.

8. 3 Job Roles Involving Photo Shop
Graphic designer: A graphic designer will use Photo shop to design and create prints that a customer has asked to be designed. Web designer: A web designer will use photo shop to brief design plans for the customer to make sure they like the layout and design. Photographer: A photographer will use photo shop to edit pictures they have taken. They will use Photo shop to hide any spots or moles or even bits in the picture they wish to remove.
