9. PSAT The PSAT is a Practice Test for the SAT
On average students who take the PSAT do better on the SAT
Tests are Given Only Once in October
All sophomores took the PSAT on October 19, 2016
Counselors will review the results with the students on February 10th
Recommended to take the PSAT junior year as the student may be Eligible for National Merit Scholarship Competition

10. The ACT Aspire Test Practice ACT Test
The Aspire has five sections that align with the ACT Plus Writing subject areas: Reading, English, Math, Science, and Writing
Students register in the spring to take the test in the Fall of 2017

AVID uses rigorous curriculum and connects with the community to raise student achievement.

Be underperforming (getting around a GPA) because he/she disorganized, struggle with navigating the structure of classrooms/school
