Add Users

Log into the Portal:
Click on Users in the upper left hand corner.
DTC’s pick a school, STC’s use your own
Add a TA user role named: Demo Testing - use
It should look like this when done.
Review the Student Roster
Done by a DTC or STC
If a student is missing, you will have to add them manually.

Line Reader
Guidelines that the student can move up and down to display one line at a time.
Color Chooser
Color scheme for the text and background.
Read Aloud
Test questions and answer options are read aloud to student in English (SWD 594 or ELL) (SBA & HSGA) or in Spanish (SBA ONLY).
Note: Only the Read Aloud accommodation needs to be documented in an IEP.
Magnifier
Zoom levels to enlarge screen text.
Reverse Contrast
Color contrast toggle between light and dark.
Masking
Hide areas of the test: one, some, or all answers; or a user- definable rectangular area anywhere in the test.

Create a Class

Click on Classes, and create a new grade level class.
Name the class Samara Demonstration
Choose the TA Demo Testing
Choose a grade
Add the first ten students in the demo list to your class
SAVE

Schedule a Test
Done by the DTC or STC
Click on Test Sessions
Click on Schedule a New Test Session
Select your Test from the drop down
See the class Samara Demonstration? Click that class.
Pick a start date if you wish, but we suggest the whole window!

Run Workstation Readiness Test (WSR)
DTC, STC, or IT Coordinator
Use the Username/Password found on the Portal to conduct WSR testing on each workstation or workstation configuration.

Launch the student kiosk on your device and log in with the Site Readiness credentials.
Check the system!
The System Check will ensure the computer is working properly before the students try to test! Identifying problems now is better!

20. SBA Science Computer Based Testing

Distribute Student Login Tickets for each student assigned to you for testing.
Post the Test Access Code for the test session at the front of the room.
Monitor students to ensure they have logged on successfully and answer any procedural questions.
Speak with your technology coordinator and/or Measured Progress Technical Support ( ) about any technology-related issues that arise.
If a student needs to leave the test room for any reason, be sure an escort is available to accompany the student to and from the test room.
