Riverside City College is proud to continue providing the City of Riverside with new and innovative educational opportunities. •••• Riverside City College’s Pathway Initiative-Completion Counts Guarantee Contract delivers the most direct route through community college. If your goal is to earn a certificate, associates degree and/or transfer to a four-year university or work, Riverside City College has a pathway for you.

3 Completion Counts through the Pathways Initiative
The 2-Year Completion Counts Contract is designed for college-ready students to complete a certificate, associates degree and/or transfer to a four-year university The 1-Year Completion Counts Preparatory Contract specifically addresses the needs of students that require additional instruction to achieve college level Math and English to progress into the 2-Year Contract

4 If Eligible, RCC Guarantees:
Early registration for classes at Riverside City College (not valid for Moreno Valley or Norco Colleges) Guaranteed access to English and Math classes beginning your first term until all requirements are met Access to 15.0 units each semester based on SEP 2-Year Student Educational Plan (SEP) with an RCC counselor Access to student support services each term

5 Establishing Eligibility
High School Diploma or GED Apply to RCC or be a current student in good standing Select Riverside City College as home campus Complete assessment testing or provide placement documents Be a full-time student (15 units per semester) Complete enrollment process

Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or the California Dream Act Application Select a Major (Program of Study) Visit Career Cruising, CareerCafe.org, CHOICES, or ask your counselor Complete Riverside City College Online Application at rcc.edu Activate RCC account (see WebAdvisor) Complete the AOC process Complete Assessment testing Complete online Orientation Complete online Counseling by submitting 1st semester SEP

8 Articulation and Concurrent Enrollment Students
As an articulation and/or concurrent enrollment student, you have already created a profile and completed an application. This means you already have a RCC ID number and RCC address. However, you still need to: Update application to 1st time student for Summer or Fall Complete the AOC process (take the Assessment Test) Activate your RCC account Complete the FAFSA or Dream Act Application

2-Year Contract Eligible English English 1A – English Composition English 50 – Basic English Composition English 60B – English Fundamentals English 60A – English Fundamentals 1-Year Contract Required

10 Math Eligibility Assessment Placement
Math 1A – Calculus 1 Math 10 – Pre-Calculus Math 36, 25 – Trigonometry, Survey of Math Math 4, 5, 11, 12 - Finite Math, Business Calculus, College Algebra, Statistics Math 35/53 – Intermediate Algebra or Geometry Math 52 – Elementary Algebra Math 65 – Arithmetic & Pre-Algebra 2-Year Contract Eligible 1-Year Contract Required

12 Enrollment Requirements
2-Year Completion Counts Contract Complete 15.0 units (or more) each fall and spring term for a total of 30.0 units (or more) at the end of each contract year Complete a Comprehensive Student Educational Plan (SEP) with an RCC counselor in your 1st semester English and Math classes will be required beginning your 1st semester and each semester following until requirements are fulfilled per your SEP Only enroll in classes that appear on your SEP Pay all tuition and fees before Payment Deadline!

13 Enrollment Requirements
1-Year Completion Counts Preparatory Contract Complete 15.0 units (or more) each fall and spring term for a total of 30.0 units (or more) at the end of each contract year Excel through English and Math classes to college-level in one year beginning your 1st semester and the semester following Complete a Comprehensive Student Educational Plan (SEP) with an RCC counselor in your 1st semester Only enroll in classes that appear on your SEP Pay all tuition and fees before Payment Deadline!

14 Contract Responsibilities
Sign Pathway Initiative Completion Counts Guarantee Contract Complete 15.0 units (or more) each fall and spring term for a total of 30.0 units (or more) at the end of each contract year Strictly follow your 2-Year SEP in selecting classes Enroll in Math and English continuously as required Maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average (GPA) every term Complete, submit, and adhere to Academic Progress Report Register each semester during the Early Registration period Attend required meetings and activities

15 What to Expect After Assessment Test
You will receive you placements immediately and an instruction sheet with next steps. Check your RCC Student for an invitation to sign a contract – Please make an appointment as contract signing is by appointment only. If you do not receive an within 2 weeks of your assessment test or if your are establishing eligibility via the Eligibility Matrix, please come to the Completion Counts Welcome Center on the 1st floor of the Student Services Building to begin the process.

16 Deadlines Apply via Online application beginning January 2017
FASFA begins October 1, 2016 Complete AOC process before June 6, 2016 at 4:00pm Provide all other eligibility documentation before June 15, at 4:00 pm Sign Contract before June 29, 2016 at 4:00pm Early Registration period is a 3 day window, check Payment date: first drop date applies, see schedule
