3 What is the Career Portfolio all about anyway?
Collection of what you do over the next 4 years 4 year Educational Plan Career Results Extracurricular activities record/ Brag Sheet (awards, achievements, etc.) This is a one stop shop… you are going to keep your portfolio in the career center with your educational plan, extracurricular activities and career results. You can go there as often as you would like to update the forms, you should keep copies at home as well. This will help keep you in line for college applications come 3 years from now when you are trying to think of all the great things you did way back in freshman year. Every small award counts… document, document, document!!

Shows what you are interested in. Gives you ideas of some careers Gives you majors that are related to your career path You can use this as a guide all 4 years and take additional surveys Continue to store your information in one place for careers and educational planning

5 What do I need to know to fill out my 4 year Plan?

6 Graduation Requirements
English – 4 years Math – 2 years (and through Algebra I) Social Science – 3 years Science – 2 years PE – 2 years Fine Arts / Foreign Language – 1 year Applied Arts – 1.5 years Computers / Health - .5 year each 220 total credits minimum Pe -4 semesters of marching band Social science more to grad than college.. Use extra year for area e

7 CSU / UC Requirements Social Science – 2 years English – 4 years
Math – 3+ years (through Algebra II) Science – 2 years (through chemistry) Foreign Lang – 2+ years (same) VPA – 1 year College Prep Elective – 1 year SAT I with Writing Exam SAT II- not mandatory but good to take anyway Foreign language- span II you already have 2 years credit Math competency- ALG II = 3 years Science-1 physical and 1 life science both have to have labs

DIRECTIONS FOUR YEAR PLAN…remember, plans change!!! Add classes you are taking this semester and those you are enrolled in for second semester. By using papers in your folder, add classes you’re planning on taking over the next three years. Add summer school classes
