A Team Report – Bill May In terms of the first team, before Christmas we competed well in Div 1 of the Winter League and were competing to finish in second place behind a very strong Alsager side (who beat our first choice four 7.5 to 0.5!) but due to having to concede a game late on around Christmas eventually finished in fourth place. After Christmas the Spring League is always more difficult in terms of getting the best players out, but having completed all of the matches this weekend, it looks like we will finish fifth (out of seven). This will ensure we stay up however, which in itself is an achievement! Player availability remains the biggest issue for the firsts and we probably haven’t got a big enough pool yet of players of the quality required to compete and finish higher than we have done this year. We have managed better this year in terms of getting teams out and getting through the fixtures, just a frustration when we don’t beat teams that I feel we could ! (the eternal frustration with all sports probably).

Coach Report - Duncan Collins Juniors This will be run on Mondays at 5:45 by Duncan. 6 week courses.£3.00 / wk for members, £3.50 / wk for non members. Adults This will be run on the same lines as last time, with Duncan. Wednesdays 7:00pm.8 people needed to run it.6 week course. First course starts Weds 1st May. Another course will run after the widows league finishes. £25 per person for the course. Members have priority. Those not already been on a course have priority.

President's Mixed Doubles Trophy League. We will make the draw some time soon after the AGM. First round league during the summer. Second Round, Sunday 15th September at the club.
