a detailed historical survey of Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America from 1800 to the present. This course will encompass geography, economics and government with a strong focus on the themes of nationalism, imperialism, and revolutions. Through lectures, group activities, and independent projects, students will learn to connect current world events to their historical roots. Topics are covered in-depth and independent work is expected.
