Meeting room reservations (presentations, IAB meetings, poster sessions)

Delegate to an experienced and competent staff person
Distribute project executive summaries to IAB at least 2 weeks in advance

A consistent appearance and format are important – you want to make a good presentation
Advance submission required; edit and return for revision
Solicit advice from your center’s assigned “evaluator” (oops, I can’t remember the new title)
This person wants you to succeed and has experience with I/UCRC
Have a cocktail hour
Advice we received at boot camp that proved to be spot-on
Pre-select a strong and committed IAB chairperson
Ideally, someone with prior experience as a liaison to university researchers
“Committed,” e.g. our chairperson holds telecons with the IAB reps between the semiannual meetings & stays in touch with the director
