Insert number of repeats of the chord progression
Insert Key
Insert Tempo
Insert Starting bar number

3. La Bamba Click ‘New’ Enter song title Choose a key (F major)
Choose a tempo (140mm)
Click on chord sheet cell 1 (bar 1)
Enter Chords (F → Bb → C7 → → F → Bb → C7 → →)
Repeat chord input for another 4 bars.

4. La Bamba Chorus. This is for the whole piece.
Find the chorus start button and enter bar 1
Find the chorus end button and enter bar 8
Find the chorus repeat button and choose how many times you want the piece to repeat.

Click on ‘Style’ button (Left-hand side of screen)
Choose a Category style (Left-hand side of window)
Scroll down style list and select a style with a tempo near to 140mm
Click ‘OK’ on the style you want
Click on ‘Play’ to listen and enjoy!

A useful backing track can be 12 bar blues
Enter chords in key of Bb

Enter chord progression in key of Em

This will allow for a call followed by response on each chord
Also suitable for one bar rhythm cards

Click on this to open auto intro window

This will generate a 4 bar intro in a pop or jazz style
It is useful in a classroom to get pupils settled
You can change the chord manually if you wish

14. Other Stuff – Input Shortcuts
Use letter b for a flat sign
Use 3 for a sharp sign
Use + for augmented chord
Use / for a slash chord e.g. C7/E (C7 with E bass)
Use a comma to enter 2 chords in a single cell

Click on this to open Render to Audio File button

Choose an arrangement you have made and click on the ‘.WAV’ button
This brings up the ‘Render to Audio File’ window.
Check ‘Choose’ to locate where to save this or use default
You can make a CD or MP3 or WAV File.
Press DXi – Direct Render [save WAV file]’
A flashing window will show where the file is located
