For more information on Ashoka please visit About the role Ashoka Switzerland is looking for a Program Manager, an entrepreneurial and autonomous person with a proven commitment to social change and a solid understanding of Social Innovation. He/she will be responsible for managing national and international partnerships, animating our vibrant Ashoka community and contributing to further develop Ashoka’s programs in Switzerland and worldwide. He/she will be supported by the local and international Ashoka teams and will report directly to the Director of Ashoka Switzerland. Key responsibilities Managing local and international partnerships; Coordinate the different support programs for our Social entrepreneurs; Responsible of building-up and engaging our Ashoka Swiss Community (social entrepreneurs, pro-bono supporters, partners, etc.); Contribute to develop strategic partnerships in line with Ashoka mission; Contribute to share and communicate our actions via (events, website, newsletter, social networks, etc.). Skills and qualifications As our social entrepreneurs, you are passionate about Social Change and you are thrilled to manage your projects autonomously. You are innovative and creative with a strong ability to accomplish hands-on operations. You have a track record in project management and in managing partnerships. You are able to interact closely with high- level executives from the business and the social sector. The position requires a high level of flexibility and ability to work individually as well as in (international) teams. The position requires a degree of a university and several years of work experience ideally in the corporate and/or social sector. Fluency in French, German and English is a must.

Job description 2/2 Required skills and experience Essential: Entrepreneurial & autonomous person; Innovative & creative; Strong ability to accomplish hands-on operations; High level of flexibility and ability to work individually as well as in international teams; Strong relationship skills: ability to interact closely with high-level executives from the business and the social sector; Experience in partnership management, preferably in Switzerland; Strong track record in project management; Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with diverse audiences; Proficient in English, German and French. Highly desirable: Experience in charity management; Experience in fundraising, preferably in Switzerland. Personal qualities Ashoka has a rigorous screening process for hiring staff at all career stages. All applicants for all positions must possess the following qualities along with the appropriate degree of experience: Entrepreneurship/Intrapreneurship: compelled to take creative initiative and ownership (e.g. founding an organization or company, starting a movement, or re-shaping the work of an existing organization), demonstrate relentless and realistic how-to-thinking and passion for seeing their ideas come to life. Understanding and Belief in the Everyone a Changemaker: understand and believe the Everyone a Changemaker vision at a gut level. To be able to innately ‘get’ this, candidates should have a broad and inquisitive intellectual and a thinking pattern that connects the dots between historical trends and current social context. Emotional and Social Intelligence: ability to work efficiently and respectfully in teams, putting organizational/team goal first (personal glory second). Ethical Fiber: exceptionally strong ethical behavior, self-reflectiveness and strong empathy skills, trustworthy. Self-Definition: the candidate expects that changing the world in big ways and on a continental scale is what he/she will do in life. General information Reports to: Ashoka Switzerland Director; Time commitment: full time; Remuneration: depending on experience; Location: Ashoka Geneva’s office, with frequent travels to Zurich and Bern (at least twice a month); Start date: ASAP.
