University of Montenegro LLL Strategic Plans Lifelong Learning Strategic Plan document is a result of several months planning efforts with the purpose to identify strategies that can assist University to develop its lifelong learning (LLL) function and offer flexible and adaptable programmes and courses that will be compatible with the fast changing labour market and societal needs of Montenegro and the region. Chapter 26: Education and Culture Implementation institutional infrastructure needed Establish an operative LLL infrastructure Centralized LLL unit headed by a Director network of LLL coordinators at departments an Advisory Board for LLL including representatives of every unit and the social partners Develop adequate capacities for LLL services through appointment and development of qualified staff participating in LLL activities so that participation in LLL incraeses by 25% in the following 3 years. Funding Sources for LLL Programs Public Funding The Ministry of Education and Sport Other ministries, local adminstrations and different administration bodies can contribute to the financing of specific adult learning programmes Financial support under the umbrella of employment policy, targeting unemployed or vulnerable groups in the society The Ministry of Education and Sport may sign agreement with local administrations (e.g. municipality or coalitions of municipalities) to develop educational provision based on specific needs. Chapter 26: Education and Culture Strengthening link with the labor market University Career Development Centre Career Development Centre established in cooperation with the Employment Agency to provide appropriate guidance and resources to students to help them identify, develop and successfully implement their career related goals; Facilitate lifelong career development and assist students in career exploration, career decision making and the implementation of their career choices; Provide online coaching, personal coaching or group coaching through workshops on different topics including CV writing, launching LinkedIn Profile, job search, information interviewing, interest assessment, decision making, stress management and other topics; M O N T E N E G R O Negotiating Team for the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union Chapter 26: Education and Culture Poglavlje 25 Nauka i istraživanje

Further steps to be taken -Introduction of learning outcomes at the level of the course and diploma level -recognition of prior learning Future Guidelines on Recognition of Prior Learning : who should be involved in the RPL process both from the academic community and the social stakeholders possible target groups for RPL how the process would be conducted (organizational structure, management and advisory aspects) various tools used to assess prior learning.
