2. Grambling State University College Tour
There will be a college tour to Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana, on September 16th.
The cost is $100 which includes: transportation, lunch, a t-shirt, gift bag, college tour Tailgate Party, and a football game day ticket.
The Grambling Tigers will play the Jackson State Tigers; 7pm kickoff.
There will be on-site admission if you have ACT or SAT scores which meet requirements.
A $50 deposit is due August 18th and the balance is due September 1st.

3. Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl
If you like to read, we are soliciting students to participate in the Helen Ruffing reading Bowl Competition to represent Dutchtown High School.

4. DHS Ambassador Attention DHS Students,
If you are interested in serving as a DHS Ambassador, please pick up an application in the counseling office today!

5. Math Team
If you are interested in joining the math team, please meet in room 403 with Ms. Raji on Wednesday, August 9th after school

6. Air Force JROTC Drill team & color guard try-outs
If you are interested in joining the Air force jrotc drill team or color guard, try-outs will take place for new and returning cadets, Monday, August 7th thru Thursday, august 10th at 3:30pm each day.
This applies to all 1st and 2nd semester cadets

7. FCCLA
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is having an information meeting Wednesday, August 9th in room 404

If you are interested in joining a club that focuses on family, career and community, pleas see Mrs. Branion Or Mrs. Winters.

8. Work Based Learning
All students who currently have a job and interested in work-based learning, see Mrs. Walcott in room 407.

9. Attention Junior Class
Please see M. Daniels for an order form for t shirts and other items.
The deadline for ordering is September 15th to ensure that we will have our t shirts back for homecoming

10. National Honor Society
All National Honor Society Membership dues must be paid on or before August 15, 2017

11. Attention all Freshman
If you are a leader and you are interested in being a Freshman Class Officer, YOU ARE IN LUCK!
Freshman council Interest meeting will be Wednesday after school in Room 706.

12. Senior Announcement
There is a link on the senior webpage under activities that allows you to take a survey under activities that allows you to take a senior paraphernalia survey that includes the shirt designs and homecoming themes.
You will need to use your student log-in in order to complete it by Friday August 11th.

13. Senior Parent Meeting Rescheduled
Senior Parents meeting has been rescheduled to August 29th.

14. Wrestling
If you are interested in wrestling, the meeting will be held Thursday after school in room 502.
