3 What is an Ultra Sound Technician?
also called diagnostic medical sonographers or just sonographers, operate equipment that utilizes sound waves to create images of the body's internal structures. Ultrasound is commonly used in obstetrics, but it can also diagnose other medical conditions Find gender and general health or baby while still in the womb Diagnose medical conditions Talk with couples or pregnant woman

The possible obstacles: My plan to overcome them: Not getting in to the school Work on my grades now so I can stand out and have a more likely hood of being picked

The possible obstacles: My plan to overcome them: Having an irregular schedule planning things in advance Keeping a positive and friendly attitude through a long day Treat each patient as you would at the beginning of the day

12 The training/education required for my career is:
Training to become an ultrasound technician can be done through a formal education program or through military training. The most common training is an associate's degree program, although there are bachelor's degree and 1-year certificate programs available. These programs can be found at community colleges, technical/vocation schools, and some universities. Coursework typically includes human anatomy, ultrasound equipment, pathophysiology, and obstetrics. In addition, students must complete clinical education, which is a requirement of the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) for anyone wishing to take the registration examination for certification.

Burnaby BC Lectures and labs provide you with theory and active practice on campus Two streams of study – general and cardiac – provide strong expertise in both areas Students may specialize in either or practice in both upon graduation Diploma is earned Twenty-seven-month, full-time Diploma program Forty-six weeks of clinical experiences in BC hospitals and/or clinics $16,418.10

18 Ultrasound Technicians are awesome!!!
Ultrasound technicians may be found in some dentist offices In many states you can spend as little as one year to start your career The Bureau of Vital Statistics published that there were more than 51,000 ultrasound technicians as of 2009
