EQ: What role do arts play in gifted education?

2 General Notes Art requires an integrating and interactive process to be produced. Art uses emotion. Arts takes a prolonged period of time to produce Art is an expression of self Art results in the arts

3 General Notes cont. The arts refer to the major fine and performing arts, including visual arts, dance, music, theater, and creative writing. Arts curriculum is a merger between doing and making, analyzing and critiquing, and connecting the arts to history, philosophy, and science.

Bibliotherapy Helps students explore issues of decision making, identity development, emotional intelligence, empathy, social problems, and multiculturalism. Videotherapy Can be used as whole or segments…the questioning is the important part. Can be a vehicle for self-discovery
