Capitalist governments of England (Great Britain) and the United States under the power of Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchhill tried to work with Stalin.
These 3 leaders, known as the Big 3, met after WWII at the Yelta Conference (1945) to figure out how to build up war-torn countries.
in 1947 Cold War started and all hope for working together was gone.

Germany, under the leadership of Hitler, was very much against the USSR and what it initially stood for.
Surprisingly, Stalin and Hitler later signed a non-aggression pact, stunning the world.
Later, Hitler went against the pact when he overtook Poland during the war.

10. Religion
Prior to revolution, Russia’s primary religion was Russian Orthodox (Christianity).
After revolution, the USSR became the first state to have, as an ideological objective, the elimination of religion and its replacement with universal atheism.
The communist regime confiscated religious property, ridiculed religion, harassed believers, and propagated atheism in schools.
Later, religion was allowed back solely for the sake of allowing people to find hope during desperate times.
