The Spanish name for Spain is España.
The capital of Spain is Madrid.
Football (soccer) is the most popular sport in Spain.
Spain includes a number of islands including Mallorca, Tenerife, Ibiza and Gran Canaria.

3. Where I would stay. Barcelona is the second biggest city in Spain.
It is in a separate area called Catalonia.
It is home to my favourite football team!
The 1992 Summer Olympic Games were held in Barcelona.
In Barcelona you can see Gaudi’s work in the park.

4. Our hotel. Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona.
It is right in the shopping centre of the city.
It has a pool and is really luxurious.
My mum would love it.

I would want to see a game at Camp Nou.
I saw Barcelona vs Liverpool in August but I would like to see them at their home stadium.

9. Amazing rides Port Aventura is the most visited theme park in Spain.
About 4 million people visit it each year.
I would like to go on the roller coaster called Dragon Khan (it is one of the best in the world), visit Ferrari Land and the water park they have just built.
It looks amazing.
