3 IVD Coating on Aluminum Flareless Fittings
IVD coating added for low electrical resistance and higher corrosion resistance than chemical film. Example of callout to the right. e. MATERIAL CODE LETTER W   W code parts to be anodized only will have no finish code letter after the size code in the part number. the finish will be ANODIZE PER AMS2472 OR PER MIL- A-8625, TYPE II, CLASS 2 DYED BROWN, SIMILAR TO COLOR OF FED-STD-595. w code parts to be coated with high purity aluminum only will have the finISH code letter “V” after the size code in the part number. the finish will be HIGH PURITY ALUMINUM COATING PER MIL-DTL CLASS 3, TYPE II WITH A MAXIMUM THICKNESS OF CHROMATE TREATMENT SHALL BE APPLIED AFTER GLASS BEAD PEENING AT A MAXIMUM PEEN PRESSURE OF 25 PSI. SEE PROCUREMENT SPECIFICATION FOR ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS.

Differentiation between “Corrosion Resistant Steel” and “Corrosion Resistant Steel 15-5PH” on QPL listing?

6 AS5230 Drill Depths Previously, thin wall conditions existed due to drill depth conditions on extreme reducer jump sizes. Corrected on prior G3B project. Currently, existing drill depths result in inconsistent wall thicknesses on some reducers. H. Virk initiated project to correct these instances. Resulted in disapprovals due to disposition of existing stock. Moving forward – is this an unsafe condition? Some sizes? Can existing stock be used until depleted? Should we publish an ARP for drill depths? (ARPXXX attached)
