What is an SEO’s role?

17. Squadron Job Description
Promote boating education to the public and to squadron members
Schedule ABC3, Advanced Courses and Seminars
Assign instructors to courses
Ensure that all Boating course instructors are certified and current
Recruit new instructors and proctors
Recognize instructors by submitting merit marks and Chapman Award Nominations
Lead the cheer for USPS education.
Understand the guidance and tools in the SEO kit.

18. Remain current with courses, materials and USPS procedures
Maintain knowledge of federal and state requirements for boating safety
Coordinate with membership and member retention committees to recruit new members and retain current members
Submit required forms on time
Coordinate with Squadron Public Relations Officer
Attend District Conferences, Councils and Events
