Parents are responsible for the rearing of their children.
Each person bears their own sins.
The solution to guilt is repentance, confession & forgiveness

God requires children to obey, so the parents must also require it
Parents are to avoid provoking their children to anger or exasperating them causing them to lose heart
Avoid abuse, inconsistency, selfishness, favoritism, excessive expectations & manipulation

Parents are to raise their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
Deut. 6:4-9. Love God and diligently teach the children the Lord’s commandments in all situations
Use Scripture to teach, reprove, correct and instruct them how to live godly lives

It is up to God to save your children, you can only the foundation for the Holy Spirit to use.
Teach them all about God, His character, work and commands while modeling supreme love for Him
Raise your children to become wise adults - Proverbs 1:2-6

to fulfill the purpose and meaning in life

Your goal will determine which wisdom you will use in raising your children

Wisdom is attained by seeking it,

Childishness is inability due to ignorance and lack of physical ability.
Teach and warn as well as encourage and help them gain the knowledge, strength and skills needed

Foolishness is rebellion in the heart resulting in rejection of instructions and warnings.
The consequences for foolishness will include correction and some form of punishment.

Young children need to have their behavior brought into obedience by verbal & physical correction
Physical chastening is godly wisdom - Proverbs 22:15; 13:24; 19:18; 20:20; 30:17, etc.

It must be related to and appropriate to the child & the offense
Chastisement is to cause pain to deter the behavior, but it is not to physically damage the child.

The type of correction changes as the child gets older.
