A lot of kids/parents don’t ever get to experience high school sports This will go by fast so enjoy the ride

Eligibility Based on 9 week quarter grades
Must pass 5 classes not counting P.E. Check with me before dropping any classes

Attendance Must be at school for ½ the day in order to practice or play in a game. We expect students to be in school the morning after games

Athletic Code of Conduct
Drug/Alcohol violations = 50% of the season Hazing Social Media Do the right thing and you will be fine

Practice Schedule Varsity usually after school
JV and Freshmen Together Schedule is posted on the solon basketball webpage Please pick players up at the designated time. We will only stay 15 minutes after practice and then they will have to exit the building

Missed Practices Please have your son communicate directly with his coach Teaches them responsibility Let us know as soon as you do A player can be excused when: sick and family emergency

School Breaks We practice over Thanksgiving and winter break
We practice on days where school is off for Holidays Players are expected to be at all practices over these breaks We usually practice when school is called off for weather (4 hour window). On snow days we will communicate with the players directly about practice times

Injuries Let us know as soon as something happens Solon Trainer
Sports Doctor If a doctor restricts you they have to clear you, we cannot

Buses Every player will ride the bus to all road games
Players can ride home with parents if they have the signed waiver. See athletic webpage for the waiver Freshmen and JV bus will leave after school and return after the jv game Varsity players, cheerleaders and managers only on the varsity buses

Additional Basketball
OHSAA prohibits players from participating on other teams or in other leagues during the basketball season Players cannot tryout, practice or play with an aau team until the season is over. OHSAA will issue a 2 game suspension and you will be ineligible for the post-season. Trainers – prefer after the season NO INTRAMURALS Rec Center – Shooting only
