2
What are Quasars? Massive and extremely remote celestial object, emitting exceptionally large amounts of energy, and typically having a star like image in a telescope. It has been suggested that quasars contain massive black holes and may represent a stage in the evolution of some galaxies.
3
Where are they found? Quasars are usually found far from the Milky Way. This leads many to believe they are the early stages in the lives of galaxies.
4
What do Quasars look like?
5
The Einstein Cross The Einstein Cross is a quasar being gravitationally lensed by a large elliptical galaxy. This causes it to be rendered into four images of the same object. The object lies 2,500 Mpc away in the constellation of Pegasus. Source: Hubble(Visible)
6
Double Quasar This is an image of a single quasar being rendered into two images by a foreground galaxy. It lies 2,400 Mpc away in the constellation of Ursa Major. Source: E-Merlin(Radio)

Quasar in X-Ray This image is of (relatively)nearby bright quasar imaged in X-ray. It lies 749 Mpc away from the solar system in the constellation of Virgo. Chandra X-Ray Telescope
