3 StorSelect process after August 7th
The process for StorSelect will be the same as for non-Express Nutanix products: You must request a deal registration for all StorSelect deals in advance. This should be done in LBP StorSelect deal registration requests will be automatically routed to our alliance partners Datacore, Cloudian and Nexenta depending on which products you selected All selected alliance partners and Lenovo must approve before you receive a final approved deal registration. You will be able to see the status of each alliance partner’s approval in LBP while final approval is pending There is an Service Level Agreement (approval response time) of 2 business days from each vendor StorSelect Deal registrations will be approved with a standard validity of 60 days from date of approval. In a combined deal registration this will overrule any longer validity period from Lenovo or Nutanix After a deal registration is approved you can then request a special bid price via the Lenovo DCG sales rep aligned to the end customer account. They will work with both Lenovo Pricing teams and each alliance partner to get the best discounted price 2017 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

5 LBP Deal Registration Process: New Categories
There are no changes to end customer search and selection From August 7th 2017 when you press “Add Products” there will be new categories for the StorSelect products. These will all indicate that additional approvals are required You can select more than one StorSelect partner and you can also select StorSelect partners and Nutanix (and other product categories) in one deal registration. However be aware that if you do this there may be multiple approvals required and the shortest validity period will apply to the whole deal registration. 2017 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

6 LBP Deal Registration Process: New Forms
When you press the Next button after selecting StorSelect and/or Nutanix you will see a warning message advising you that additional information will be required Pressing OK displays additional information forms. These forms are different for each alliance partner. Where the information has already been identified, LBP will fill in the forms for you automatically but any empty field marked in red on the left side must be completed by you before you can continue StorSelect Form Nutanix Form 2017 Lenovo Internal. 7 LBP Deal Registration: Technical Contact
When completing the additional information form you may be asked to provide details of the technical contact at the end customer (a name, id and telephone number) This does not always happen. If a contact name already exists for that end customer in Lenovo’s account records then we will not ask you to provide it. We also do not ask for contact details for SMB customers Please be aware that, for data privacy reasons, we will contact the name and that you provide and ask whether they agree to Lenovo retaining their details. If they opt out of this then Lenovo will delete these details and if you try to register that same end customer again in the future you will be asked to provide new contact details 2017 Lenovo Internal. 8 LBP Deal Registration Process: New Status Messages
On the final Deal Registration screen before submitting you will now see two new changes: Each separately selected product category will now be displayed Against each there will be an “approval status” (which initially is “draft” or “submitted). You can view or edit your pending deal registration to see the approval status of individual alliance partners like Cloudian or Nutanix 2017 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

9 LBP Deal Registration: Approval Process
When there multiple strategic partners each one has to approve before the whole deal registration is approved. If any one rejects, the whole deal registration is rejected. You can then submit a new deal registration without the partner who rejected. For each partner approval you will receive an telling you they have approved The pending approval status can always be seen by clicking on Your Deal Registrations and then the deal registration number Submissions to and responses from strategic partners are now fully automated Individual statuses are shown. Any Lenovo products are shown as “Pending for strategic partner” until all approvals are complete You will receive each approval via as soon as they are made 2017 Lenovo Internal. 10 LBP Deal Registration: Open Tenders
Sometimes we have to reject a request to register an end customer because that customer has an open tender. However even in open tenders StorSelect and Nutanix still require mandatory deal registration In these situations you may therefore see a Rejection for your deal registration (as below) but your request will still be sent on to Cloudia, Datacore, Nextenta and/or Nutanix for approval While rejected your request is still sent on. You can contact the named sales rep for this end customer to proceed with, in this example, your Nutanix request 2017 Lenovo Internal. All rights reserved.

11 Expiry Dates For any deal registration that includes StorSelect or Nutanix, you may see changes to expiry dates and bid end dates For deal registrations, the expiry date will be the shortest standard deal protection period of all the alliance partners included in the request Reminder: for Lenovo and Nutanix that is 90 days, for StorSelect that is 60 days Example #1: a deal reg for Lenovo + Nutanix, expiry = 90 days from submit date Example #2: a deal reg for Lenovo + Cloudian, expiry = 60 days from submit date Example #3: a deal reg for Nutanix + Datacorre, expiry = 60 days from submit date Bid End dates for special bids created using one of these approved deal registrations will be the shortest of either the normal bid end date period or the deal registration expiry date Example #1: Deal Reg expiry = Oct 15, normal bid end date = Sep 30, deal reg made Sep 1, bid end date = Sep 30 Example #2: Deal Reg expiry = Oct 15, normal bid end date = Dec 30, deal reg made Oct 1, bid end date = Oct 15 2017 Lenovo Internal. 12 Are there any changes for LBP Bid Requests?
All StorSelect and non-Express Nutanix pricing requests should be made via a Lenovo sales rep, not via LBP Any StorSelect or non-Express Nutanix product imported into LBP will initially show a List Price. This is so that you remember that these products cannot be discounted via LBP The List price component may be a single feature code within a CTO model. This means that the CTO model itself may be a higher price (the price of other components too) Important: the addition of a product at List Price will add significantly to any clip level calculations and may mean that you cannot proceed any further with that bid request (an error message saying you have exceeded the maximum size for an LBP quotation may be displayed) It is possible that you may also see a new error message: “There was an error costing a part. Please contact Support referencing the Error Code xxxx”.
