ALL Old Testament prophets foretold of events in the first century “these days” Acts 3:24
They foretold the revelation of God’s mystery though they did not understand 1 Peter 1:10-12
We can understand it by reading the New Testament revealed to New Testament apostles and prophets Ephesians 3:3-5

3. Daniel 2 Nebuchadnezzar had a dream 2:1 He wanted it interpreted 2:3
He required certification of the interpreter 2:9
Daniel and his friends pray for God’s help 2:17-19
They give thanks for the answer 2:20-23
He gives explanation to the king with glory to God 2:27-28

4. The Dream 2:31-35 Image made of four parts
Stone cut out without hands hits the image
It pulverizes the image
That stone became a mountain that covered the earth

5. The Interpretation
2:36-44
Nebuchadnezzar (Babylon) is the head of gold
Inferior kingdom (Persian) would follow
Bronze would be a third kingdom (Greek)
Fourth kingdom is strong but not united (Roman)
God’s kingdom established in those days
It would conquer worldly kingdoms and endure forever

6. Daniel 7 4 beasts arise out of the Mediterranean Sea
Lion with eagles’ wings given heart of a man see chapter 4, 5:18-21
Bear with three ribs in its teeth
Four-headed leopard with four birds’ wings
Fierce beast with iron teeth and ten horns
The Son of Man went to the Ancient of Days and received an everlasting kingdom 7:13-14

7. The Interpretation of Daniel 7
Four beasts = four kingdoms
Horns: – 3 = 8 Revelation 17:9-11
The small horn makes war with the saints
A king of the fourth kingdom (Rome) is against the saints
God judges from heaven for the saints
Jesus goes to heaven to receive the kingdom Luke 19:11-26, 1 Corinthians 15:22-25

8. Daniel 8 Two-horned ram became great 8:1-4, 20
Male goat overcame him (one large horn)
Horn broke into four horns 8:21-22
Alexander the Great died and 4 generals divided up the kingdom
An evil ruler would arise then 8:23-26
Prophecy of Antiochus Epiphanes 8:13-14
Had power 2300 days B.C.

9. History in Advance God is in control God cares about what is happening
God raises up rulers and casts them down
God has a plan
He announces it in advance for our faith
His kingdom is superior to world kingdoms
We must submit to His authority Luke 19:26
