2. Background PMP PN method was developed by PMP working group based on studies on LD diesel vehicles. HD regulation took over the methodology, and extended the PN measurement for CNG engines. The feasibility of measuring CNG PN emissions with PMP method was not investigated. It was observed, with very low level PM emissions, PN emissions could be rather high with CNG engines, indicating volatile issues. We thus requested that PMP program investigate PMP method for CNG engine application. ACEA will support the program with engine and test cell.
