Book discovery begins here.
What is NetGalley? NetGalley allows publishers to securely promote their titles to readers who influence buying decisions. Publishers can give reviewers, journalists, librarians, booksellers, educators and media professionals access to DRM-secured digital files for their forthcoming titles Members can leave reviews and feedback on NetGalley, and publishers can use in-depth reporting to gauge a title’s performance Book discovery begins here.
3
How does NetGalley work?
Members can search for titles or browse by publisher, category, favourite publishers, featured titles and most recently added Members request titles and publishers can decide whether to approve or decline them NetGalley provides meaningful information about the member so publishers can make an informed decision as to whether to grant access or not Members can download to all reading devices, tablets, smartphones, laptops and Kindles – all securely protected with native DRM, meaning they cannot be shared, printed or otherwise disseminated
4
How does NetGalley work?
Publishers can invite key contacts to view titles using a secure widget You can approve up to 4,000 people with just one link To access the title, contacts need to have a NetGalley account, which is free and easy to set up. Members also receive s and newsletters drawing attention to new forthcoming titles Publishers can create their own eblast for one or more of their titles, or submit their titles for a genre-specific newsletter (paid service)
5
How members find titles
Browse and request: By favorite category By favorite publishers Titles that are READ NOW Can request a digital galley Be invited via a widget Directly from the publisher for a public or private title Receive special offers via (and in their account)
6
How to approve or decline
Different ways to sort based on your own personal activity with the member; their overall influence and activity on the site and how other publishers interact with them, and credentials like an ALA or ABA member number. Also highlight the detailed activity report here, so that the information “keeps on giving” for future titles.

infinite possibilities

Infinite possibilties
You can send a proof anywhere – where will you choose? Don’t feel constricted by how many copies you have, need to save or whether you can cost it Ensure maximum exposure for your title
16
Engage your best contacts first with the widget
If you don’t use the widget, it’s like leaving stack of print galleys next to your desk, not mailed, and wondering why reviews don’t come in!
17
impeccable timing
18
Impeccable timing Streamline and automate aspects of your daily routine Ensure reviewers are engaged immediately
19
Schedule Requests by Member Type
Just as you send out print galleys at different times (booksellers typically receive galleys months before bloggers), NetGalley offers similar functionality! Allow requests for one member type; some member types; or all. I would skip this slide unless it is a core customer/advanced customer.

Real-time feedback stats
Real-time feedback from approved members, including by member type Plus, sentiment from all members, who are encouraged to participate This is your view, publisher, of the feedback---you can download it in a report (for authors/editors), add to title details pages (great for your publisher profile), and use to tweak metadata and marketing plans.
